Yes, I hate it too, but I was there, Section 12, see picture. I don't want to hear about exams, or Sundays or SMU or we played poorly! The crowd sucked.

I was there...thought the crowd did it's best to rally the team. The student section more than held up their end of the deal. I was cheering, & clapping...when I could. There wasn't a lot to cheer or clap about. No baskets in the first 8 minutes...lowest scoring half in an eon.

I also thought the officiating was AWFUL! Both teams were in the double bonus at the 10 minute mark (or so) of the 2nd half. Way too many whistles!

Also thought the ceremony could have been handled better. No video...not even of the championship against Duke? WTF NOT?

I agree, the half time ceremony wasn't great and it didn't help when Jonathan pulled down El Amin's number, it kind of wrecked the surprise.

It wasn't a surprise. Don't recall exactly how I found out but I went up there expecting it.

I kid you not, an old man yelled at me and my friends several times whenever we stood up and cheered in key situations towards the end of the game.

You misunderstood, that was me, from home, yelling at you to make MORE noise.

That was a really bad job by the jerk in the suit. He or she should sit the rest of the year.

I don't know how recently you attended UConn, but in case you forgot we are all here to get an education first and foremost. Granted, I was at the game regardless of the 3 exams I have this week. But that doesn't mean that all of the other regular fans chose the game over studying. I think it's very narrow-minded of you to say 'I don't want to hear about exams', considering that is the number one reason why the upper section of the opposite side of the student section was empty. As far as how good the crowd that WAS there was, there were numerous occasions where we would all rise and cheer after the SMALLEST of momentum started going our way. Only to have the team kill the mood with SMU make a quick couple baskets or a big three. This must've happened 5+ times. Especially when we brought it within 5 with 6-7 minutes (I can't exactly remember when this actually happened) left in the game. I was on my feet and cheering the entire game no matter what, but I certainly don't blame others for not being quite as excited about the game as I was.
