In fairness, the effort also sucked tonight. If I had a nickel for every time we just watched a rebound while Creighton hustled for it…

Maybe they should simply try winning something that matters. Their fans yelled F Dan Hurley the entire game.
 
Maybe don't play like crap for 25 mins and a few bad calls won't be so important. Refs suck as always so assume need to play a full game to win.

Hate the Jays...hope they get crushed tomorrow and lose in 1st round of NCAA. And screw u McDermott your team has zero class and you're a phony.

What’s this complex offense you speak of? I think the staff has already simplified dramatically if you know what you’re watching. It’s just constant DHO for McNeeley, Ball, and Karaban. With a few wrinkles(slips, back screens, etc). What would you suggest they run instead with no one who can break a guy down one on one? The roster is just flawed.

Agreed.

I’m all for continuing to run the sets that won them back-to-back titles, but this team doesn’t have the personnel or the skill to run that offense all game long.

It’s inexplicable to me how they haven’t figured out a two-man game with Liam/Solo or Liam/Karban that they can go to when the offense gets bogged down.

That about sums it up. The system/playbook works with the right players but Hurley whiffed too much this offseason. Have to get more athletic through the portal and have to get some guys who can take their man off the dribble.

We would've had zero chance against the Johnnies so this one doesn't hurt too much.

Top 20 in adj efficiency though. The system is great. They completely whiffed at PG
 
We cut it to 5 with about 12 minutes to go, and I really felt Creighton would run out of gas. But we couldn't make shots.

Thought McNeeley played outside of himself, and didn't do the little things. But this team can't win with AK is off like that.

Officials are not the reason we lost, but that sequence were we had cut it to 3, and then the ball goes off Creighton in back to back sequences, yet gets the ball both times, and then increased it is inexcuseable.

Seems like there was some tension between the coaching staffs...

Thank you I have bee saying this all damn year rebounding is about want to. Seeing two three and sometimes four guys standing and watching and waiting for the ball instead of going to get it is just maddening. That’s one of the biggest difference between last year and this year last year you had guys want the board and go get it. This year too many watchers no hustlers.

I said making the Big East Final and the Sweet 16 would be a success given the lack of a scoring point guard. One miss, let's see about the other. This loss will do more to motivate the team than getting thumped by St. John's at "Storrs South" would have.
 
We are what we are, whatever hand we get dealt from by the committee we have no one to blame but ourselves. Getting off to bad starts has been a trend that to the suprise of no one has cost us, and we had way too many missed opportunities in the 2nd half.

Yes I would rather get our asses kicked by St John’s tomorrow, sick and tired of losing to Creighton, that dunk by Neal I hope lights our fire going into the tournament and going into future matchups with Creighton.
 
Opposing fans will be opposing fans … but it’s another thing when “supposed” faithful on this board are calling out a roster that’s been completely different last 3 years and the coaching. Give me a break! Some of you shouldn’t even post. Go to bed.
