Wow. What a terrific show. Couple observations and couple questions, in reverse order:
Questions: never visited that channel before and would not have done so tonight had not one of our Yarders posted about Geno's appearance tonight at 7 (a tip of the cap to that Thread-bearer).......anyone know if he will be there as a regular? If so, is that a weekly situation or..........?
Observations: Wonderful group of reporters involved there tonight.....unfortunately, I didnt get the name of the man who seemed to be "host," but he was a sharp guy....many of you probably know him. Jeff Jacobs was very impressive, and Mike DiMauro (sp) brought a mellow and interesting slant and personality.
Geno was vintage: keen, analytical, humorous, and occasionally self-contradictory as always (which we all are, but his penchant for it must drive the kids nuts at times), e.g. "No, we can't beat Baylor....they think the way we used to think, that as long as we play, we can't lose...and that's how they feel, that they can't lose.......so, when we play them early everyone will find out if they are right or we are right." This does not quite merit quotation marks on my part, but it IS awfully close to what was actually said.
Geno on Stewart in sum: does alot of things wrong for sure....but usually follows the wrong stuff up immediately with some great play which ONLY she could make. This is response to a Q which was essentially: "Does Stewart bring an amalgam of skills unlike ANY other player we ever had?"
