The Courant tells you things you already know about Covid's impact on the schedule and the quarantine of team members and declare in the title Geno can see the effect on the team. “Nothing changes ... over a period of time, I think that’s taking its toll.” That's it.

Paige has some things to say worth reading.

“Definitely through a season of ups and downs and highs and lows, there hasn’t been really a consistent No. 1 team with everything that’s been going on. So just taking that time to really just enjoy being at that top spot, it’s really important,” Bueckers said. “But we just try to keep working and keep proving [we deserve] that No. 1 spot, but not really paying attention to it too much. It really doesn’t mean anything when it comes to March and tournament time.”

“Being here since July, people not being able to go home, just reflecting on all of that, I think it’s put in perspective, like, ‘Yeah, we deserve to be here, but at the same time, we’re not done yet,’” Westbrook said. “We’re here for a bigger purpose, and that’s to win a championship.”
