Marquette pauses programs after COVID positives

Marquette halted all activities in men's and women's basketball for two weeks after one positive COVID-19 test from each team.

My granddaughter attends Marquette and seems to be doing fine. Her younger sister attends nearby MSOE and has had Covid for 4+ weeks. Her doc says she should be fine, but she’s missing 8-12 weeks of soccer practice.

Just like all other sports, it is a race to the finish line. I think society had accepted that organized team sports with all the testing being done and safety protocols when not playing results in a a safer footprint for society than the average population which is simply living in an unregulated environment and the decision now is in the hands of the participants

I am guessing their may be a few optouts but probably less than we might think as kids want to move on with their lives.
