Too early to tell. If she can heal up within the 6 week window and it doesn't bother her the rest of the year I don't think they will redshirt her. But if it is a constant nagging injury throughout the year and she misses more time than expected they might consider it.

That depends. If it's nothing more than a stress reaction, it would be hard for a doctor to certify that she is still unable to play in March - which is required for a medical hardship waiver. And it would be hard to produce the MRI's etc necessary to back up that sort of claim - which are also required.

The fact that she played the first game makes her ineligible to simply not play this year and then use her eligibility the next four years - as Jessica Moore and Heather Buck did. In their cases, no medical documentation was required.
