Such an easy player to root for.

Comparing his 6'8 220, here are the biggest guys on each AAC team who are significant players on the team

Memphis: Wiseman 7'0 210, Precious 6'9 215, Thomas 6'8 218, Jeffries 6'7 219, Dandridge 6'8 245
Cincy: Scott 6'8 220, Diarra 6'9 215
Wichita St: Echenique 6'11 236, Midgaard 7'0 270, Bear-Chandler 6'9 265
USF: Yetna 6'8 231, Durr 6'11 210, Kiir 6'9 218
Houston: Greshan 6'9 220, Gorham 6'7 225, Harris 6'10 245
Temple: Hamilton 6'10 190, Moorman 6'7 210, Moore 6'11 225
Tulsa: Igbanu 6'8 244, Horne 6'7 220, Ugboh 6'11 250
SMU: Chargois 6'9 235
Tulane: Lawson 6'8 210

So yeah, these extra lbs will help big time.

that's very reassuring... not many guys in the league (8 between 6 teams?) are both taller AND heavier than whaley now. at any rate he should only average around 10 mins a game behind carlton.

I love this kid. Very high character

Exactly.

I know most ran him out of town already, but this is a great kid to have around he program. He plays hard. All out. He’s putting the work in. You want young guys to see someone like him reaping fruit.

Hard to not root for his kid.

There are few things like the mythical "he added 20 lbs of muscle in the offseason" Hopefully it pays for the kid.

He's still short for a center, and 220 isn't that big, hopefully he's still trying to get bigger.

Twenty mostly positive posts to start this thread. Isaiah is deserving of this.

Not every player on the team, 1-12, is gonna be a star. We need guys like Isaiah, willing to battle, head in the game, always working, keeping that effort and positivity flowing, staying ready for his opportunities to play. A really core part of the team chemistry that we don't really see.

Isaiah showed a lot of game his freshman season when KO had him starting. He was Rodman -like with the offensive rebounds, easy putbacks, and some blocks/altered shots. His overall game is not as developed as some other players, doesn't really shoot or have go to post moves, but he's got a skill set around the basket, helps facilitate on offense, does not turn the ball over, with good mobility is effective on defense, also contesting and blocking shots.

Bigger, stronger, his third year of becoming a more complete basketball player, 2nd with this coaching staff, what's not to like in a very thin frontcourt. I think he'll be solid out there.

Good God l am rooting for this guy! He has to be a rising star on the Intangibles ladder

Yeah. He fights like mad for rebounds and has some hops and good timing. He can dunk and make layups. If he can defend bigger bodies and hold position, that’s really all we are looking for. It’s good for the more talented guys to see how hard these guys work.
