While the 247Sports Team Rankings don't illustrate it, UConn has a strong two-man class in Colben Landrew and Junior County. Both recruits will be able to contribute right away in Storres with their skillset, feel for the game, and versatility.

County is a high-IQ guard who can defend, attack downhill, make shots, pass, and rebound, possessing a high floor. Landrew is one of the most versatile forwards in the country, who can dribble, pass, and shoot, and produce a variety of advantages on the court with his size, mobility, strength, and skillset.

still listed as a top 30 recruit by 247 and top 40 by their composite, I think that was where he was when he committed but I could be wrong.

For every "wacky" thing Dan Hurley says or does, you get these types of quotes to offset them. It is really brilliant branding to say "at UConn, we recruit families." It goes to the character component that Hurley so often talks about. It also is a low-key stroke of the parents by essentially validating them if their son is a UConn target. It is next level branding.

No doubt about it, Dan Hurley is a brilliant basketball mind, but he also is a brilliant marketer with a keen understanding of people's motivations. He's just an incredibly sharp guy and we are very lucky to have him.
