Why is it assumed a team as inconsistent as we were all damn year would have just ripped off 4 more wins had we beaten UF?

What I saw in the Florida game was our coaching superiority. We were wide open all day long, just didn't make enough uncontested threes. Conversely, they make contested threes and they advance

The channel is predetermined before the tournament, it rotates between TBS and CBS. Not any anti UConn bias

I'm not so sure, as much as I love UConn.
Still need to get past Maryland (to be fair I think Hurley would have special motivation to get revenge on the first team to knock him off in March while at UConn), but then Texas Tech, Auburn, and Houston would be waiting. That is a gauntlet, perhaps the toughest back-to-back-to-back UConn has ever faced in March, especially if Duke had beaten Houston.
(to be fair Nova-Iowa St - MSU - Florida - Kentucky 2013/14 would be close to Florida-Marlyand-TTech-Auburn-Houston)

After playing like total butt against Oklahoma, we played close to our best game all year against Florida. They did not play even close to their best and we still found a way to fumble it away. Our issues, even in our best game, were still very prevalent. A lack of ballhandling, creators, and shot makers. We made crucial defensive errors at inopportune moments, mental errors with struggling to corral rebounds, etc. None of these issues were new, and they weren't going to go away if we moved on. Maybe we would've won another game or two. But it would've been just as likely that Maryland put our bigs into instant foul trouble, and we would have been beaten.
how far ahead is this decided? I would be a bit surprised if the draw is made up with TV coverage in mind.

This year's team didn't have the resolve or mental toughness to pull off winning all of the remaining four games if we had held on to win against Florida.
My opinion, if UConn beat UF, UConn would have likely lost in the FF, or NC game. Auburn had those physical guards that would have really bothered us and Houston would have been SJU on steroids.
Duke would have been a bad but better matchup of the four final four teams then UF, then Auburn, then Houston.

The magic is our coaching staff. They can create a game plan that is superior when they face a team they have not played.
Our staff is great at throwing wrinkles in game plans that the opponent does not expect. That is why we usually do so well during the tough OOC games we play before conference play begins.Tough to put those wrinkles in when playing teams that you play all the time.
Of course not so much in Maui this year but hey everyone has a bad day or two. We probably go deep in that tourney if Hurley did not lose it and cost us the Memphis game. I think it took the team some time to mentally get over that and I mean not just the players but the coaches.
There was just so much self induced and outside pressure on this team. I think it would have been better to play the wo is me card at the beginning of the year. Saying we lost so much to the NBA. Hurley could have relieved the pressure by saying these kids will be a good team by March how good I don’t know. Instead of telling anyone that would listen that we were primed and loaded for a threepeat.
But as always hind sight is 20/20. All that matters is we have the best staff in the country right now as a group they are just so much better than what anyone else has, IMO it is similar to the advantage Alabama had in football with Saban.
