All I know is he better rock that tied karate kid headband in a UConn uni. Also love the sideways knuckle spin on his shot.

Can't wear those in HS ball in CT. I'd assume it's true for NCAA stuff as well.

His ranking does not match who this kid is as a prospect. 6'9 wingspan, 39.5 inch vert, built like a tank, and has a solid looking shooting stroke.
I like the spin on the ball off his hand, that knuckle spin is a shooter’s spin. He also shoots what amounts to a set shot with his feet barely off the ground, ideal. Good form too. Really like his shooting upside.

The question would be is he carrying so much muscle that it’s hurting his fluidity? Probably but with our team durability issues lately I would almost prefer more kids like this. They tend to stay on the court.

I can't think of anyone like him at UConn in the past, as a high school kid:
Tate: skilled but not as strong and athletic.
Taliek: almost as big, but not as skilled.
KEA: skilled and big in another way but not as athletic.
Kemba: more skilled but not as physically big and strong.
Shabazz: more skilled but smaller (Boatright too).
Jerome Dyson and Tony Robertson: good matches.
Ben Gordon: maybe the best match of skill, strength and athleticism.

Floyd has so much going for him, and has some "swag" too, but handles himself
very maturely for someone so good and so relatively underrated. It's like he's
been raised to know he's good and that he doesn't have to try too hard to prove
it to anyone.

The best comparison is probably Purvis, but hopefully more consistent. Not sure Rodney had as much moxy though.

I was thinking the same. Man was that guy cut from granite.
Kid can probably be an all-state linebacker and light heavy weight wrestler if he wanted to.

He's looking like a terrific off guard.
Down 3 with a minute and a half left you’re basically calling your best play. Their play here was to have Wilcher inbounding to hit Corey for an elbow 3 off a screen. They clearly trust his shooting. Scouting report on him used to be explosive slasher, average shooter. That’s clearly not the case anymore. Kid is sinking 3s left and right.

If he can hit 35%+ from 3 he becomes a real problem to guard. Way too strong at the rim to close out hard and risk the blow by.
