I found this in my stuff today. Its from right around when I started following UConn in the Mike McKay - Norman Bailey era. Bailey was a dunker! I figured some of you old timers would enjoy seeing this. This was when the games were broadcast on WTXX, channel 20.

I played against Mike when he went to Harding. It didn't go well at all.

This is awesome. I started following them around this time too,

I was about 12 or 13 years old and worked stocking the cooler in our family's package store in Torrington. One day I came out of the cooler and walked straight into a somebody's KNEE. I looked up and up and up and saw that it was Chuck Aleksinas. He worked summers for a beer distributor up in Goshen.

I sometimes wonder what Calhoun would have done with this team. There was a ton of talent there.

I started a little before that, late 70's. Bobby Dulin was my first favorite Husky. Having Corny from MIddletown helped my interest, but mostly it was due to having an older brother start there in '77.
Thanks for sharing.

One of the most underachieving UConn teams in the Big East era.

I believe Dulin played with these guys the 80-81 year for sure.He and Clay Johnson (Waterbury) were the other guards with Disco Sullivan and the 2 frosh Vern and Karl? I believe they beat Louie and Bowie at New Haven that year and Dulin made some critical FT's....they led the nation in FT shooting I believe that year.

Played against Corny and Bruce K in HS. Bruce was a young soph didn't like to get batted around but Corny, well he was just unreal as we all know.
