Says he got sent home, if he would have gotten fined that would have been some expensive puss......
 
This is mind boggling. You have a rookie transition seminar thingy and someone does something against the rules. So what do you do? Send him home. Don't address the issue and explain why it's wrong and let him complete the program so he is better equipped for the upcoming season. No - send him off into the season without the training as punishment. Make him find his way and have him come back next year to complete the training after he's already lived it. Freakin brilliant.

Similar to most NCAA rules; it makes no sense at all. Maybe Emmert helped Stern come up with it.
