With discussions about B. Griner's current scoring and blocked shots stats, I was wondering if anyone has come across websites that have consolidated statistics, pre and post NCAA, for WCBB.

I think it would be interesting to see where J. Stiles, M. Moore, B. Griner, C. Holdsclaw and others stack up against the likes of Ann Donovan, Nancy Leiberman, and Carol Blazejowski from the AIAW era.

Interesting thought. I think there was less competition early on, and possibly shorter schedules. Those might offset. But some of the greats would have been great in any era. I believe that Blaze set the Madison Square Garden single-game scoring record--surpassing male collegiates and even the pros. I think Meyers was a 4-time AA, so she had huge stats. Woodard played for the Globetrotters, so she certainly had game.

For my money, the best player from the AIAW era was Lusia Harris of Delta State.

So I have heard others say as well. Before my time following WBB.

The NCAA record book historically has had some of the pre-NCAA stats (a small section, but there). Not consolidated together, but, probably for the reasons indicated by Milford, I don't think it would be hard to "consolidate" the info you want. If the record book (available, of course, in an on-line version) still has the info.

I have a question on individual stats and didnt want to start a seperate topic on it.
Does a players individual NCAA stats include stats vs non D1 schools?

Thanks if anyone knows and if anyone knows where they got the info a link would help.

It might surprise many to learn that BG will miss the Baylor all-time scoring mark by 500 or 600 points. Suzie Snider, whom I was priveledged engough to see in her high school years, owns that record at 3,861. The girl could flat out shoot the ball.

Great question that I hadn't thought about. I bet there was a lot of inter-division play.

What years did Snider play?

From the Baylor Official Website
Eppers was chosen by ESPN.com as one of the very best to ever play collegiate basketball in the pre-NCAA era; Snider Eppers played at Baylor from 1973-77 and holds the school record for points and rebounds with 3,861 points and 2,176 rebounds; Her 3,861 career points is believed to be the highest-ever.

Leiberman would have been one heck of a player no matter who she played against. IMO, and excuse me for the term, she played more "like a guy" than any other player I've seen.
