Top heavy. Only 1 school, 2 programs to follow. Great programs may I add.

The 'best' basketball state is determined by the combined RPI/Kenpom ratings for all D1 schools in a given state based on the half-way point of a single season. What a joke. How about take the number of NCAA basketball titles hanging from the rafters? On men alone, Connecticut with UConn's 4 titles would come in at #5 behind California with 15, Kentucky with 11, North Carolina with 11, and Indiana with 5 and just ahead of Ohio, Kansas and Michigan who each have 3. Now combined the number of women's titles, Connecticut rises to #2 with 13 titles behind #1 Cal with 18 and just ahead of NC with 12.

I think the point is the best state for 2015 season only with not taking any history into account. Based on that it makes a lot more sense since we are the best team in the State but our rpi is in the 50/60s.

They should have titled it, "Which state has the happiest college basketball message board patrons this January?"

In which case, Connecticut at #33 would be just about right.

Inherently biased against less populous states. Silly. Trivial. Ignore.

Now if they did some sort of attendance compilation of all programs in the state PER CAPITA, now we've got a stew goin'.

Stop being so sensitive, you should have read how they were ranking and moved on. We have one of the best programs in the country in our state (who hasn't been doing to hot this season) and than a steaming pile of dog business disguised as D1 schools
