After watching CCSU hang with EMU this past weekend, I started wondering when the last time was that UConn was the best college football team in the state. Here are the current rankings of CT DI college football teams according to the FBS/FCS metric at compughterratings:

After Week 4
123. Yale
186. Sacred Heart
204. CCSU
237. UConn

Our ranking of 237 would have us 10th out of 12 in the CAA and 5th out of 10 in the NEC.

Take it with a grain of salt, dispute the site, but by any metric we should be crushing these teams. To me, seeing these numbers helps contextualize our suck.

I'll update as the season goes along...

Where do you find the combined FBS/FCS link/tab? I’m probably missing it on mobile device.

Click on any team in the FBS or FCS rankings and it will reveal their team page. The team page has the ratings for each team in its conference and each team's overall ranking in college football (FBS+FCS+DII+DIII+NAIA).

No idea how their formula works (they have a theory page for those interested), but their prediction metrics have been OK in my experience once the season is far enough along.
