Thanks ETT. Wish it would have been Baylor we faced. I think it would have been a great game. Unfortunately, we will never know.

Best of luck to Baylor in the future.

Thanks ETT. It's been a pleasure seeing your posts. Best of luck to Baylor.

.-.
Thanks, ETT. I look for a great senior season from Sims.

ETT - I know your Bears are going to have a bit of a fall off next year
what with the graduation of so many starters, but I hope that doesn't mean
you will be posting less on the Boneyard. We always enjoy hearing from
fans of other programs, and their comments enhance our perspectives.

Thanks ETT. We have had our moments, but you have been a great addition to this board.

You are no longer a visitor, but a 'Yarder.

Congrats as well. I don't post much, but do lurk. Not a true UConn fan, but this is EASILY the best board to talk women's college hoops.

Barring injury, you guys should win the next 2 championships (possibly 4-peat), though I can secretly hope some team will shoot 70% from 3pt land the next 2-3 years to knock you guys out. :p

poppin' my collar, wagging my tongue, staring down at ETT.... yelling "Baylor who". dang it must be painful but I'm sure you're glad we kicked Louisville a**

Congrats to UConn as well. My friend saw the score and asked me if it was any fun to watch since it was a blowout. I told him it was fun to watch (from an unbiased point of view) because it was basketball at its finest, at least from an offensive perspective. Watching Stewart score in a variety of ways was amazing and seeing how UConn got many of its players open was a thing of beauty. The way UConn played, no one would have been able to defeat them.

And with Stewart, Tuck and Jefferson coming into their own at the end of the season, it looks like this class has a real shot at doing a four-peat.

I also really admire Auriemma's remarks after, when he discussed where he fit among the basketball greats. He may appear to be an arrogant jerk, but I think it's for show. He has a real respect for Pat Summitt and for the game and it's really nice to see.

Congrats again and savor this win!

Thanks, saki, yeah, Geno is really just a big softie. He feels for Pat as his very quick and substantial gift to her charity last year showed along with his establishing the Sandy Hook charity. His schtick can wear on those who don't understand what he is doing but he loves the kids, the sport, and his peers.

Thanks ETT! Don't be a stranger this off-season.

I'll be around to discuss the WNBA and the pairing of two of the greats in the game in Griner and DT. What fun that will be!

Baylor won't challenge for a national championship next year but will be a good team and fun to watch with their guard-oriented offense. I can't imagine another team beathing UCONN next year. Get those 41 games scheduled!

Couldn't have said it better ... please continue to hang around!

Thanks to ETT, Saki, and the rest of the visitors who truly do make this the best WCBB forum with a wide perspective and a little spice!

And a special thanks to the mods for another great year of keeping us pretty civil and not allowing the board to get out of control. I visit a number of sports forums, and this is easily the best managed and easiest to read because the threads remain on topic and the personalities remain in check.

.-.
ETT, curious on your thoughts as to how a Baylor-UConn final would have gone.
Same here. I wonder about that as well. Despite being pretty beat up we were playing our best basketball of the year. I'm not sure we get over the top without a healthy Dolson. I'd like to think so though.

Let me add to the chorus that enjoys your posts here. Stop by often.

Guess I'll piggyback on Trash's thread and offer congratulations to UCONN and its fans on this board. I always pull for Duke or the underdogs, but the good fans here on the boneyard makes last nights blowout alot easier to swallow. Plus with Geno tying Summit at 8... and knowing that fact makes Lady Vols fans irate, is a good thing in my book. :D I didnt get to see the game, I was checking on the scores on my phone. Looked at it early and saw the game was tied up at 14-14.. and thought... wow.. this might be a game afterall. Looked at the score about 5 minutes later... and it was 29-14..... and was like  game over.

I look forward to seeing the defending champs in person in January of 2014 down in Durham...... hope the game will be more competitive than the one this past January

TDF, I'm expecting you'll have even more reason to hang around these parts next year. If Duke can put it's best foot forward against UConn next year, that game in Durham should be pretty interesting.

I think it should be interesting... then again.. I've thought that going into the past 4 meetings. Hopefully Gray will be fully recovered by the fall.... EW will have a whole summer to rest and get totally healthy (she wasnt this year despite her honors), and Richa Jackson will be another year removed from her ACL surgery. If she can regain her sophomore shot and explosiveness... then we will be that much tougher.

So I don't forget - let me add on my congrats as well.

Once the final 4 was set, I had you winning.

And like others, I have you continuing to win quite a few more. I won't say the next x number of years, because in any given year . . ., but on average I have you as the favorite for the next 3 years.

Is it a lock that they'd pick Griner???? I think the offensive versatility of Elena Del Donne would be awfully tempting if I were the person making choices on draft selection.

Nothing is a lock, but the head coach - not allowed to discuss the draft - said they were looking for a 6'8'' player that could dunk. We were solicited for season tix (not practical, since we are in Tucson, though we might look at the smallest 4 game pack - if we can choose the games) and in any case, the arena person on the phone appeared to also be expecting Griner.

I think EDD will be a terrific player in the WNBA, but I think there will be a number of players that will be able to player her straight up. I think BG is a unique player and there are very few players who can defender her 1 on 1 and her shot blocking ability will change a lot of teams' approach in games against her.

Are you sure you're talking about the Boneyard? :)

Pretty much the same thing. ;)

congratulations to UCONN and its fans on this board
Thank you. You are always welcome here.

Well, we'll have to disagree here.

OK, so the bit about staying on topic was a huge overstatement, but they do a great job anyway!
