I don't know what the actual numbers are, but my hunch is that the American League probably dominated the NL in inter league play - odd that dozens of games mean less than one exhibition.
 
I think inter-league play records should be used to determine who gets home field advantage rather than an All-Star game.

I'm sure the Cards didn't mind having (and winning) games 6 and 7 at home last year. Cute?
 
Guys, let the NL have their little streak. It's so easy to forget that the AL used to dominate the NL in All-Star games (13 in a row until the NL broke it 3 years ago).

Don't forget 3 of the last 4 World Series either. Not bad for the AAAA league.
 
The AL was 32 games over .500 in interleague play. 32!

Congrats on winning a glorified exhibition.

It will mean a lot to the Mets who once again will be watching the playoffs from home.

Not only that, thanks to interleague play the AL has 11 out of 14 teams at or above .500.

I don't believe the Mets will be watching the post-season. I suspect most will be off playing golf, hunting, or doing what they would otherwise be doing if someone didn't pay them to play baseball. Unlike their fans, the Mets don't appear to care about the game enough to watch it.
