Kept the foot on the gas all game and Gonzaga looked kinda scared from the start in my opinion.Absolutely. And his gameplans and adjustments have been spot on in the tourney. My favorite coaching moment today was when Timme had just committed his 4th and Hawk had hit a big 3 and we came out of the timeout and full court pressed. He was ready to keep the Zags off balance the whole rest of the way if we'd needed it.
They were watching us vs Arkansas. Of course they were scared.Kept the foot on the gas all game and Gonzaga looked kinda scared from the start in my opinion.
This tournament run is a great resume builder. Continued excellence and accomplishment are still needed but I never had doubts he has the tools to achieve it.Hurley to be our third HOF basketball coach
A la 2014Regardless of what happens next weekend, I'd say we can finally put to rest this common narrative that Coach cannot outmaneuver the top tier of college coaches. His run this tourney has included wins over:
Pitino
Bennett
Musselman
Few
That's two shoo-in HOFers and two more of the best in the business. Add to those wins his regular season victories over McDermott (finally), Oates, and Shaka. This conference is going to be loaded with coaching talent next season. But I don't wanna hear this narrative after a few tough losses!
Is this Wright fellow available for a staff position next season?Jay Wright been helping Hurley during the tournament. Love GQ Jay and Hurley.

->By reaching the Final Four this year, Hurley triggers an option for a two-year extension, which would lengthen his contract through March 31, 2029. Had UConn reached the Sweet 16 but fallen short of the Final Four, Hurley would have been eligible for a one-year extension.
Additionally, Hurley has earned several financial bonuses, including $200,000 for reaching the Final Four — which would increase to $250,000 if UConn reaches the championship game or $400,000 if the Huskies win the national title — as well as another $100,000 for finishing in the top 10 of the final AP Top 25.
Hurley is also eligible for a $100,000 discretionary bonus based on his achievement of unspecified goals set forth by UConn athletic director David Benedict. On top of those bonuses, Hurley will see his annual salary increase by $150,000 as a result of reaching at least the Sweet 16.<-
-> Altogether, this means UConn's run this month has already netted Hurley $450,000 and two additional years. The payouts could eventually be worth up to $750,000 depending how the Huskies perform at the Final Four and whether the coach receives his discretionary bonus. <-
