The thing that stood out to me in this first game was a huge step up in confidence:
1. Doty - you can see a big difference in her play from last year. She knows what her body can do and what it can't. When she shoots she expects it to go in, and last year I wasn't sure she did.
2. Banks - wow! night and day! This is the player that we heard about but seldom saw last year.
3. Faris - she doesn't shoot often, but again, I think she really believes it is a good option now - last year it was as if she only shot when she ran out of any other options.
4. Freshman - I do not remember having three freshman looking as confident in their abilities this early.
This is going to be a fun year!
