AAC is 2-5
ACC is 11-9
Big12 is 3-11
BigEast is 0-11
Big10 is 7-14
PAC12 is 4-6
SEC is 5-11

Some early trends to watch:
Big12 and SEC seem dreadful.
Big10 is better than I thought.
While some have called that the ACC is down this year, I see quite the opposite and this early season W/L support my contention.
Once again, the AAC needs someone to step up-Come on UCF!

Can you tell it's a slow time that we are reaching for discussion???

Hmm. Total top 25 wins and losses should be the same and don't come even close to adding up. Does that mean mid majors have several top 25 schools that have run the table against fellow top 25ers? Or is this list including schools in the top 25 at the time they were beaten (which would permit uneven counts of wins and losses).

Remember it is an uneven set of teams. If Dayton (not ranked) plays two top 25 teams and lose, they are 0-2 but the top 25 team is 0-0 as Dayton is not ranked. It would only even out if it was a closed set of Top 25 teams against each other.

This type of amalgamated data can be very misleading and has to be viewed with caution. In this case the conference records vs. top 25 teams are greatly skewed depending on (among other things) which teams are playing top-25 competition and which ones aren't. If it's mostly the stronger teams going up against top-25 opponents, that'll skew this record upward; if it's the bottom-feeders taking their lickings, it'll skew downward. In the case of the ACC, how many of the non-ranked teams are testing themselves against ranked teams?

It's worth noting that the Massey conference rankings are currently as follows:
  1. Pac-12 (2.05)
  2. ACC (1.98)
  3. Big 12 (1.94)
  4. Big Ten (1.94)
  5. SEC (1.87)
  6. Big East (1.81)
  7. AAC (1.64)
