Predictions/thoughts/questions on Coach-Player-Rookie of the Year

ACC - JPM, Frese, or Hatchell // Alyssa Thomas // Alexis Jones or Xylina
BE - Muffett or Hillsman // Diggins // Jewell Loyd
B10 - Coquese or KBA // Maggie Lucas? // ?
B12 - Mulkey // Griner // ?
SEC - Warlick,Staley,or Blair // ? // Graves
PAC - Gottlieb,Close,McGuff,or Lappe // Chiney // Walton(WA) or Roberson(CO) ?

In the Big Ten -POY - Bentley is another option as is Banham for Minnesota.

For the Pac-12, I would give the award to Linda Lappe. I remember her as a player and it's great that she has reinvigorated the Buffs program. What Gottlieb has done at Cal is impressive, but she had a lot of talent returning. Lappe has come out of no where to give her team a top 25 ranking. Kudos to her.

And Chiney Ogwumike is my vote for Player of the Year, obviously :)

ACC: Coach : Without a doubt Freese POY : Thomas..... though if Gray would have remained healthy.. i think she would have won.. FOY: Without a doubt the X-Man's daughter

Did anyone see the OSU Minny finish last night? Minny was up 5 with 30 or so to go, OSU hit a three. Minny inbounds, Banham thinks she will get fouled right away but OSU traps, forces a turnover and hits another 3 with 8-10 seconds left to go up 1. Minny inbounds to Banham who drives to the elbow and hits a contested spinning prayer with 0.4 left for the win. She was the goat for the turnover but redeemed herself quite nicely.

Lindsay Moore from Nebraska could also be in the Big Ten POY race, but I have a feeling one of the two PSU players take it.

As for SEC I agree those three coaches have all done a great job. Player is still undecided at this point. I do think Graves should win FOY.

That would be a shocker. She rarely shows up at crunch time. Matthies of KY would get my vote.
Mathis and Kentucky are out of control. Bone numbers are solid and if they can beat Tenn this wknd her chance is just as good as anyone else

I think POY will be on the team that wins SEC.

Not gonna lie: I initially read the title of this thread as 'End-of-Conference Awards'.

I will now put the smartphone away and do other stuff for a while...
