RU will rise higher soon with the reaquisition of the Med and Dentistr school and B1G afiliation IMO.

A medical school, big research and endowment money usually pushes a university ahead in terms of prestige and popularity. That's why I find it strange that USNWR have schools like Cincinnati ranked #129.

Some med schools are teaching hospitals and don't do much medical research.

Florida State appears to hit the bull's eye in limited research.

This report would add credence to the fact that the biggest asset for UCONN's CR hopes is the $1.5B research expansion bill recently passed by our state. Endowments are nice, but having that kind of support from your state really says something. We really are fortunate because not many schools receive this level of support from their home states.
