Apologies if this topic has been brought up before but can someone tell me what's the deal with the Gampel ceiling. Several of the panels are ripped and look really shabby. How does something that high up rip?

Its 22 years old - stuff just deteriorates - buildings expand/contract with changes in weather putting strains on everything. Some may be from people doing other work up there, but some or all of it could just be natural aging. It is funny how quickly things change - it was so 'state of the art' when built, and it feels pretty ancient and boring now.

That's the problem with "state of the art"- tends to fossilize really quickly. Classic and really nice is the way to go.

Of course, all of those banners are still pretty cool too see.
