When I posted the link to the Ossining box score last night, only half of it was up.....click on this LINK to see the complete Ossining box score.
Saniya with 43 pts, 13 assists, 9 rebs, 5 steals, 3 blks, and 21 of 24 from the free throw line.........not a bad day at the office. And I hope to see a time when she'll be doing the same thing for us here at UConn.
As Josh Newman said in his article on the game:
"Her scoring is what the average fan knows about her as the 45 leaves her 97 points shy of the career scoring mark in New York’s Section 1. What does not get talked about nearly enough is everything else she does. She came into the game averaging 9.6 assists and we can see why."
"She continually bypassed her own good looks to hit an open teammate and also got into the lane, drew the defense and hit a cutting teammate for an easy bucket multiple times."
"Chong is a total thoroughbred and after seeing her for the third time overall and first time this season, we understand why UConn came calling."
"Aside from her play, she is clearly one of the nicest, politest kids we’ve ever come across. That, more so than the actual basketball, will take her far."
