UConn has done a great job in a short time in football and some conference will notice. Randy Edsall deserves a lot of credit. Here are the football records of 4 BE schools from 2002 to 2010:
Pitt 68-44 0.607 2 shared BE titles, 1 BCS bowl
UConn 65-46 0.586 2 shared BE titles, 1 BCS bowl
Rutgers 57-54 0.513
Syracuse 38-60 0.389 1 shared BE title
I recognize that we were not in BE in 2002 and 2003, but we had good schedules in those years including:
2002: BC, Georgia Tech (We played GT in Storrs!), Miami, Navy, Vandy, Iowa St., Temple
2003: Indiana, BC, Virginia Tech, NC State, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Army
