1st half

1. We seemed sluggish early on, but kicked it into gear at about the 12 minute mark.
2. First half went by quickly, with few timeouts and even fewer foul shots.
3. Demary with only 5 1st half points, but also 5 dimes and 5 boards along with a steal and a block.
4. Alex, Solo and Jayden in double figures at the break.
5. 20 boards, 15 dimes, 5 steals and 4 blocks at the half, compared to 14, 4, 1 & 1 for the Ivy Leaguers
6. Oh, and we're up by 23 at the half.

2nd half

1. Started the 2nd half much like we started the game... tentative and sluggish.
2. Refs evidently found their whistles at half time. A total of 7 fouls whistled in the 1st half, 5 of them on Columbia. Compared to 31 second half fouls, 14 of which were on UConn, and 17 on Columbia.
3. Ball had a gorgeous play at about 5:14 left in the 2nd half. Stole the ball at their end and went full court. Looked off two defenders by glancing toward the sidelines to take the ball straight down the middle to the rim.
4. Won dimes 22 to 10, steals 9 to 4 and blocks 7 to 2. So how did we only win the rebound battle by 2?

Leftover ThoughtZ™ from UMass Lowell

1. Karaban's bucket at 7:10 in the first half told us all we'll ever need to know about UMASS Lowell. Either AK suddenly got about 287% better at driving the lane, or UML players have never heard of defense.
2. I hope that some of the interior moves and passing that our guys pulled out of their repertoire bags in this game carry over to games against better teams.
3. All starters and 4 subs hit double digits, while Stewart was the only UConn player to spend more than 23 minutes on the court.
4. Tarris apparently felt like he needed to make up for lost time. Lead all scorers with 20 points on top of his dozen boards and 3 dimes.
