For those interested in advanced stats, here's Colorado's KenPom breakdown:

Strengths: Rebounding, 3 point shooting

Weaknesses: Scoring inside the arc, turnovers (both offense and defense)

For what it's worth, KenPom gives UConn a 65% chance of winning the game, and projects a 3 point victory for the Huskies.

Did not realize they played SMU.

1 thing sticks out to me, good homes wins but NO good/decent neutral or road wins.

From what I have read- they are an inside out offense. 2 good low post players. Best defense for a team like that that has good 3 point shooters is to pressure the guards so they have a hard time making the post pass and sticking to them so they can't shoot the 3. Fast breaks will be there as they aren't as athletic and also if we can push the pace that will help tire out their bigs.

Talked to a buddy of mine who lives out in Arizona, and watches most Pac 12 games. Scouting report is similar to what someone posted earlier...good inside team who really thrives off 3 point shooting, and out rebounds their opponent. Said they were one of the better home teams this year, but struggled on the road, including getting blown out recently against a bad UCLA team.

He thinks if we can hang in there on the glass and not get killed from 3, we will handle them. Says we are a tough matchup for them because they struggle with guards who are quick, and says DHam and Adams will be able to get into the lane at will. Also Colorado really doesn't have a PG, and turnovers have been a huge problem for them. On ball defense will be key here.

ESPN had a list of 10 hot teams, and 10 cold teams. UConn was in the hot list, Colorado is the cold list.

8. Connecticut Huskies Do this team the favor of seeing it in the present tense and not making too many inevitable comparisons to runs made two and five years ago by this same program. With an occasional hiccup here and there, the Huskies have mostly played outstanding defense in 2015-16, and Daniel Hamilton is improving as a scorer almost from game to game. We need a name -- specifically one better than "point forward" -- for these guys who handle the ball and crash the defensive glass. In the meantime, go ahead slot Hamilton alongside Denzel Valentine and Ben Simmons as yet another example of the nameless type of player.

5. Colorado Buffaloes
The Buffaloes haven't experienced the thrill of victory outside of Boulder against an opponent other than Washington State since Jan. 3. This is a very good defense and Tad Boyle's team is tough in its own building, but even with those home games included, CU shot just 41 percent on its 2s in Pac-12 play. On the plus side, the Buffs played well (including a 16-13 double-double from Josh Scott) in their 82-78 loss to Arizona in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals.

Sounds like a game where Hamilton 100% has to keep an eye on his man when shading down on the block.
