College sports agreement promises major boost to CT downtown (Courant)

LOL. Okaaaay. New England's rising star!!!

How is the development around Dunkin Donuts park coming along? That park is only 9 years old at this point. The Sportsbook is a colossal failure. And off the top of my head, Morton's never re-opened. City Steam has no plans to re-open that I could find. The movie theater on Front St closed. Where's the good news?
Carbone's is reopening where the theater was!

All of the other new things that have opened that you choose to ignore or misremember when you decide to paint Hartford in a negative light in conversations with people that help to perpetuate the negative stigma around Hartford for people who don't live there.

Like what?

Perfect time to renovate Gampel and dump Hartford down the road
Dump Hartford and the University gets funding cut significantly. Unless we’re in a power conference making 30M a year that’s an unwise situation to be in.
Like UConn is gonna renovate Gampel without State money. And think about it, why has UConn won six titles in the last quarter century? What do they do different than almost every other team in D1? I’ll tell you what it is, they play half their games in a pro style arena. So when the tournament comes, arenas are nothing to them.
I don’t know if it matters as much on the arena size, these kids have been playing in big arenas since high school. But maybe they’re too accustom to big arenas, which is why we shoot and play like crap at Gampel nowadays.

We never pay for parking in the garage.
In all seriousness I was ticketed for parking in north garage because there was a hiccup with app when I tried to pay for one of the games last year. So I guess you just got lucky somehow?

PS: I normally never park in the garages but I was with people who don’t know campus and thought walking up/down the hill behind north was some kind of peasant activity.
