Didn't think they'd ever take the show to an American home game (or feature a game with an American team really), luckily Temple had this late non conference game on the schedule. Good for them and the AAC hopefully they can come out with the big W this weekend. Watching ND lose is always fun.
Like your comment and thinking DREW... it is great for the American. However, IMO, I don't think they can crash the "Party of Four". Way too political. Do think it is great for an AAC team to get an invite to be the G5 major bowl crash. If anything, a great day by trashing ND (ND would then have 2 losses) might.... say might, raise suspect or warrant discussion (say discussion only ) of playoff expansion to 8 teams in 2 0r 3 years and maybe, say maybe further warrant a better TV deal for the AAC. It just might be toooooooooo much for the p5 to become the P6 but ESPN gameday and recognition of the league achievement this year is certainly a start because you need their holy blessing. It's all about the business of sports and $$$.Good for them, good for the American. Cheering hard for Temple this week. They win they have a real chance to crash the party.
The Notre Dame offense is for real. If they don't turn it over, they will light the scoreboard like a pinball machine.
Having previously lived in Phila for years I can say with assurance that it was never even the slightest gleam in the hopeful eye of anyone there that Game Day would ever set up in Center City for a Temple football game.
The fact that it took them nearly two days to decide on Philly is quite telling.

Temple campus is in North Philly not Center City. No one goes there unarmed.
Sorry, I thought Game Day was setting up in Center City at Independence Mall.
The fact that it took them nearly two days to decide on Philly is quite telling. Here's how it'll play out:
* They'll mostly talk about Notre Dame.
* They will promote the Hades out of their SEC Network.
* They'll do lots of laughing about Temple's historical suckiness and 'weak conference schedule'.
* Matt Rhule (along with Fuente and Herman) will be vigorously shopped around to all potential 'P5' job openings.
* At some point, all the undefeated AAC teams will be judged and ranked by 'worthiness' of being selected to join a 'P5' league in realignment.
* (A prediction, this may or may not happen): Footage of Temple and/or Memphis from last year vs. UConn will be prominently featured.
I don't expect this in any way to be the positive AAC showcase folks are clamoring for. ESPN will find a way to crap all over this, I'm convinced of it...

Also I think they're setting up on Independence Hall if I'm not mistaken
