Would love to see this work but the drip drip, then whoosh of cases on campus is likely to overwhelm the resolve of administrators and faculty at some point. This virus isn't something we can put on our timeline. It's dependent on one thing. Our behavior. If it was just healthy students willing to spread this amongst themselves they could make that decision along with their parents and say goodbye for 6-9 months. But while they're somewhat insulated on campus they are most certainly not in a bubble. So this premature victory lap is starting to look more like slow surrender. I don't blame them for trying and AD's are certain to push forward. But this is a painful exercise with players transferring amidst troubled waters.

UNC: In Chapel Hill, >32% of remaining on-campus students, faculty, etc reportedly screened this past week tested positive. To succeed, UNC's plans may require keeping athletic teams out of bars, restaurants, etc and in bubbles far removed from regular students, faculty, etc still on/near their campus.

Student athletes...LOL. They are proposing to make them virtual prisoners in order to play football. But for that matter the Big East wants to do the same for basketball so we can’t complain I guess

If the student-athletes want to have their say and want to play, then that's the sacrifice they have to make - isolation. Not sure they'll find it worth it, but everyone's different.

Yeah because 18-21 year old guys are widely known for their wise judgement...one would like to think that adults would make sound decisions but apparently not.

Would either most of LSU’s OL now testing positive. OR NC State now sending most regular students home symbolize sound judgement? Both? I jest.

If Charlotte, Appalachian St, and Eastern Carolina don’t follow UNC Chapel Hill’s and NC State’s ship regular students home, cocoon football players strategy, it will be surprising.

And Florida State Prez says he will drive around Tallahassee yelling through a.bullhorn at students who are partying but of course FSU will allow tailgating at football games. Honestly if you made this up nobody would believe it.

Second-cousin was supposed to start her freshman year at FSU. Decided not to risk it and is staying home while taking classes at ECSU this year.

Smart kid.
