Notable games and goings on: Happy Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day!
Next UConn game: Tomorrow Dec. 8th vs Maryland @ 9pm. Let's Stone these Layman and leave them feeling Melo.
Next 5 games after:
-Sat. Dec. 12th vs Ohio St. 12pm
-Sun. Dec. 20th vs UMass-Lowell 4pm
-Wed. Dec. 23rd vs CCSU 12:30pm
-Tue. Dec. 29th at Texas 9pm
-Sat. Jan. 2nd at Tulane 7:30pm
UConn in the NBA: With Drum (9/9) in foul trouble, Kemba (14 pts, 9 rbs) and Lamb's (6 pts, 7 rbs) Hornets had no problem with the Pistons. Charlie (3 pts) helped Dallas beat the Knicks.
Future UConn opponents: Georgetown beat Brown 74-57
Top 25 Action: #4 Iowa St. beat Buffalo 84-63 (AA-candidate Georges Niang with a big game 31/12. Remember when our win against them in some tourney a couple years ago was lucky because he was hurt?), #7 Oklahoma beat #9 Villanova 78-55 (Does Nova instill fear in anyone that they play?), #11 Purdue beat ICUPUI 80-53, #18 Butler beat VMI 93-66, #24 Oregon beat Navy 67-47 (No Dorsey, had a mild knee sprain in that UNLV loss)
Our AAC Chum(s): ECU lost to Charleston 77-73 (I guess as long as we beat them who cares)
P5 Winners: Iowa beat Western Illinois 90-56, USC beat Idaho 74-55 (Boatwright with 17 & 5)
Other News & Notes: The draconian NCAA rules committee with thankfully leave the Monmouth bench alone. These BC players ought to know Qdoba is better anyway.
