Notable games and goings on:
Next UConn games: Sat. Nov 21st vs. Furman @ 12:00pm.
Future UConn opponents: OSU lost to UT-Arlington 73-68 (What the hell OSU, we could kind of use you as a quality opponent!), Georgetown beat Wisconsin 71-61 (That's a step in the right direction G-Town), #24 Michigan lost to Xavier 86-70 (Again, doing us no favors Michigan!)
Top 25 action tonight: #3 Maryland beat Rider 65-58 (Stone was solid off the bench, 12 pts, 5 rbs, 2 bks, 19 min, but this was a mediocre game for UM), #5 Duke beat VCU 79-71 (Duke and Grayson Allen, 30 pts, bounce back), #6 Virginia beat Long Beach St. 87-52, #8 Oklahoma beat McNesse St. 85-56 (POY Candidate Buddy Hield averaging 27 ppg early on), #11 Nova beat E Tenn St. 86-51, #13 Mich St. beat Ark-Pine Bluff 92-46 (POY Candidate Denzel Valentine didn't shoot it well but had 7 pts, 11 ast, 7 rbs, he won't still be averaging a triple-double after this one, but close to it), #16 Utah lost to Miami 90-66 (They got walloped), #20 Baylor beat Jackson St. 77-60, #25 Oregon beat Savannah St. 77-59
Our AAC chum(s): ECU lost to #15 Cal 70-62 (Woulda been another nice early win for the AAC), Tulsa beat Ohio 90-88 (A furious comeback to win for Tulsa, Shaquille Harrison has been very good early, 24.3 ppg), Temple lost to #22 Butler 74-69 (Just couldn't quite get a hold of that game the Owls are gonna be tough this year, Bond is gonna be a handful for AB again)
P5 Winners: Pitt, Bama, Arkansas, Northwestern (Had to go to OT to beat Columbia), Kansas St., WVU, Georgia (Turtle Jackson with 4 pts in 7 min), Penn St., Gamecocks beat DePaul (PJ Dozier had 7 pts, 2 rbs, 2 stls; Cleveland Melvin had 10 pts, jk but didn't it seem like he was there for forever?), Texas Tech beat Miss St. (NEWMAN! 17 pts, 5 rbs, 4 ast, Howland 1-3 early), Auburn, Colorado, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Washington St.
P5 Upsets: FSU lost to Hofstra (XRM in his freshmen season was very up and down, this was one of those down games, 10 pts, 4 rbs, 4 ast, 4-14 fg), Ok St. lost to George Mason
Other Notes: Seton Hall beat Bradley (Khadeen Carrington is scoring the ball, albeit inefficiently)
