College Basketball's Most Talented Teams Ranked per barttorvik.com

Somethings not right with the Barttorvik ratings.
Alabama and Iowa St aren’t mentioned while Texas A&M is listed twice.

Edit
I guess CBKReport just listed it wrong from Barttorvik ?
It's specifically the "Talent" rating on the 2025 projections.

It's based on high school recruiting rank, and I'm pretty sure adjusted for age/class. So we're number 1 because we have a ton of top 80 kids who are no longer freshmen, several of whom (Diarra, Johnson) are seniors or juniors (Reed, Karaban).

Sooo in other words it’s meaningless?

Thanks for clarifying this.
That explains some teams with strange rankings.

9 Big East teams in top 50, I’ll take that. Hopefully they all perform close to their ranking. Georgetown 13 really?

Micah Peavy was surprisingly highly ranked as a recruit and is a 5th year now. Epps top 75 will be a junior. Curtis Williams, Sorber, Mulready all top 80 underclassmen. Fielder a 4*.

A lot of teams have 0* mid major uptransfers but GTown has some pedigree transfers that were mid to bad.

Well that makes it pretty useless then. So Tyler Kolek last year wouldn't show up as "talented" despite being drafted? Nice for visibility to be #1 but it doesn't mean anything.

That's super weird. A 3* kids who improves and averages 20ppg as a junior wouldn't be considered talented his senior year?
