Did they change the format?? It’s usually Thur/Sat, Fri/SunAccording to Borges. Hope he is ok and cleared for next week. A Saturday game could give him the extra day.
It’s changed this year for some reason. First two round are Friday through MondayDid they change the format?? It’s usually Thur/Sat, Fri/Sun

Great. Bouk can use the extra time too. It’s changed this year for some reason. First two round are Friday through Monday
How long is the typical concussion protocol ? Could it be less than 1 week?
Could be anywhere from a day to weeks. But he never looked dazed, dizzy, or elsewhere. Wouldn’t expect it to be severe. Any player who hits their head into the hardwood so hard it breaks skin is going into protocol.i imagine till he actually gets cleared by a doctor that he doesnt have a concussion
Of course they are.... Covid you know. Any idea if this was ever explained? It’s changed this year for some reason. First two round are Friday through Monday
I totally forgot about that play but you're right. When he went down on THAT play I thought concussion. Then the play where he bloodies his face.I actually thought he probably should have been checked earlier when he got fouled on the rebound and whiplashed his neck - he got up rubbing his temples. I think he might be sidelined for a bit.... hoping I'm wrong.
That’s pretty much it. There are a series of tests and until you come through them all you aren’t cleared. Could be a couple of days, could be a while depending on How severe, if he has had any previous concussions, and just how quickly he heals.i imagine till he actually gets cleared by a doctor that he doesnt have a concussion
Not sure RJ has been diagnosed with a concussion, Dan Hurley just said going through protocol. The above stepwise progression will be supervised by a health care provider with expertise in concussion, with it being typical for each step in the progression to last at least 24 hours.
- Symptom-limited activity.
- Light aerobic exercise without resistance training.
- Sport-specific exercise and activity without head impact.
- Non-contact practice with progressive resistance training.
- Unrestricted training.
- Unrestricted return-to-sport.
Yes, he was on the bench at the end of the game with no bandageDid I see him come back with his eyebrow stitched up?
I thought I saw him stitched. What a warrior.Yes, he was on the bench at the end of the game with no bandage
It was extra day of testing. Don't want the First Four starting on a Tuesday.Of course they are.... Covid you know. Any idea if this was ever explained?
Most soccer leagues will stop play at any sign of a potential head injury (blah blah blah field fairies I know...) Was surprised it hasnt become similar with bball where there's a million stoppages in play anywaysPraying he is okay and good to go. I’m still annoyed that he was sitting on the floor bleeding holding his head and the ref ran right past him and didn’t stop the play. Usually when someone’s down like that they stop the clock but the refs left him there on the ground. Makes me angry. Hitting your head is good enough reason to blow a play dead.
Usually if someone is slow to get up they won’t stop the play, but if someone looks actually hurt, they will stop it. But apparently sitting there in your own blood isn’t good enough reason. The ref ran right past him and didn’t even flinch. Pretty annoying. Most soccer leagues will stop play at any sign of a potential head injury (blah blah blah field fairies I know...) Cole is a warrior and plays hard with 100% effort
If he didn't have a rocky start and was consistent as the 2nd part of the season, he would have been 1st team NBE
"Importantly, a game official is not expected to evaluate a student-athlete. Instead, if an official notices any unusual behavior, the official should stop play immediately and call an injury time-out so that an appropriate medical examination can be conducted. A simple guide to the official’s role is: “When in doubt, call an injury time-out.”Most soccer leagues will stop play at any sign of a potential head injury (blah blah blah field fairies I know...)
