2026 Recruiting: Cole Cloer offer

Hurley has a thing for players who frequently use a jump stop. It’s like his favorite move.

It will be fun to see how the staff views roster construction beyond this coming year as the 2027 offers start coming in

This guy is a PF’s height at 6’8, but with his frame he’s definitely not playing PF

247 has him listed as a SF, but calls himself a guard in his twitter bio. So a 6’8 SG/SF that seems like he can shoot and plays off 2 feet in the paint. With some extra muscle, should be a really good player!

Hurley has said Jay Wright's Villanova is the model/standard he was building his version of UConn off of, and playing off of two feet in the lane was Nova's thing.
I was going to post the same thing, he got that from Jay Wright. He's modeled the UConn program off of what Jay created at Nova and Jay has been a mentor to him.

The clips I've watched on him were impressive and it looks like he definitely has game. Some similarities between him and AK but everything I watched showed he is more active with his inside play which certainly compliments his outside shooting. I wouldn't be disappointed if he committed I think he'd make an excellent addition.

I saw Florida’s Todd Golden, Louisville’s Pat Kelsey, UConn’s Dan Hurley, and Indiana’s Darian DeVries watching him this weekend.

Someone tell the writer it's not the weekend yet. Lol

Cole Cloer currently has three visits set. He will go to Virginia at the end of August, Florida on September 6, and Alabama on October 18.

The 6-foot-6 four-star wing tells me that he is in the process of setting dates with UConn, NC State, and UNC.

USA Basketball U19 Training Camp this week.

4-Star SF Cole Cloer knocked down shots and provided spacing in his time in Colorado Springs. He played an extremely consolidated game, and the 6-foot-6 wing was at his best he’s been this summer. Still needing to work on ball handling to get places and defense, there is a pathway as a confident floor-spacer with positional size.
