2026 Recruiting: - Colben Landrew | The Boneyard

2026 Recruiting: Colben Landrew

Read his 247 Profile. Big upside multi-position prospect who is focusing on hoops only after splitting time on the grid iron.

Must be a good program fit for Hurley and staff making a strong push for him.

I was going to post this yesterday but didn't think it was worth starting a new thread. But now that there is a new one.....

4-star SF Colben Landrew

Colben Landrew jumped to Rivals’ No. 17 overall player after a big summer with the Game Elite program. The 6-foot-6 wing averaged 15.4 points on 50.0 percent shooting, helping his team to the Palmetto Road 3SSB Championship. Landrew took an early official visit to Ole Miss last September. This summer, he visited Purdue. So far this fall, the four-star has visited Louisville, and he has upcoming trips currently scheduled to Mississippi State (9/19), Georgia (9/26), Texas A&M (10/4), Alabama (10/18), and Auburn (11/29).

Talking with sources around the recruitment, Louisville is the school that I am hearing the most. One source recently told me that the Cardinals were currently the program everyone was chasing. Another program I have been told to watch is Mississippi State. Landrew is originally from Mississippi, before moving to Alabama in “sixth or seventh grade.” He currently still has six visits on the schedule. Continue to watch if those are taken. One source told me they are watching to see if UConn and Auburn start to press. While things are heating up, there could still be some moving pieces in place, so pay attention to the intel as we move forward.

Consider the pressing to have begun.

Recruiting Intel: Louisville & Providence are turning up the heat for top prospects

Bored at work and watched every highlight I could find. Not going to watch any full games.

Has a pretty complete offensive bag. Dribbles with both hands, a bunch of different crafty pieces of footwork in the lane, offensive rebounding, high volume shooter.

Not super athletic and has limited left-hand finishing.

A Landrew/Mingo combo would bring insane positional length as both players boast 6'10+ wingspans.

Right now, all avenues with recruiting the '26 freshman class seem to be open, but we all know that Hurley and his staff snipe. Many directions to go, but once the first '26 commit lands, it'll be a little easier to map out their next moves after that.

Either way, lots to like about the Gs/Fs the program have prioritized so far.

Mingo > Landrew > Cole with Stewart and Reibe would be a very very interesting starting 5, talk about length and spacing, damn

Curious how he fits into the Cloer/Toure equation. I think we take just one of the three. All a little different with fit.

Samuels visiting this coming weekend and Howard in Oct are not in the equation? Just Cloer, Toure, and Landrew?

Landrew, Howard and Toure are most likely being recruited for the same spot. All of them are in that 6'5 190-210 range.

Cloer has the exact same measurements as AK did in high school. 6'7 190. He (like AK did at that age) looks bigger than that to me though. I wonder if he's a separate recruitment as a PF/big wing replacement. Calls himself 6'8 on his X page.

Think you might be on to something re: a separate recruitment as a big wing/PF(Cole).. Looks to be quicker at his age than a freshman AK was and has the build/body to add some muscle from SnC Program. Also looks like he's more comfortable taking it to the hole when needed. Might not be through growing yet before he hits a college campus.

Ole Miss, Purdue, and Louisville have each already hosted Landrew for official visits. He will head to Mississippi State this weekend, Texas A&M on September 23-25, and UConn on October 4th.
