The old sales line from the movie Glengarry Glen Ross.

Historical UConn weekend, NBA Alums in town, record setting football crowd on a beautiful night, competitive game, Calhoun's tribute weekend, new practice facility taking shape. Way to many positives to have kids passing on us. Wouldn't you agree?

Three kids visited, maybe we get all of them. Maybe one, or none. I attended the game it was electric. Those kids got to see the Best of what UConns all about. Yet, I wake up this morning Newburys an Okie, while Cassell Jr, tweets one more visit to go. I think Ville is next.

Wtf- how much more ammunition does the staff need to get a commit? Lots of other schools roll out less, and get a recruit before the kid leaves. If I heard xxx school had this special kind of weekend, and were hosting xxx, you just know that school was adding a player.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm getting tired of saying Next. It's just my opinion, looking at the landscape of commits. I hope the staff proves me wrong. Who's our closer?

Christ, we already have two five-star commits. Lighten up, Francis.

What are the rules for former players and their interaction with current players?

Could the recruits have been led to Gampel after breakfast this morning and seen Ray, Donny, Jeff, Thabeet and anyone else who showed up, playing in a pick up game vs our current players?

Just a warning, the language is explicit if you have young ones around.

The leads are weak? YOU'RE WEAK!!

The last 60 days all we have is a drawer full of steak knives.

We'll take the steak knives and keep WINNING....................;)

Amen to everything you've posted, I absolutely agree. I'd like to give it another day to see after the dust settles to make any conclusions but if we come up empty after this weekend you have to wonder what the hell is going on? It's like the beginning of an episode of Soap? Are point guards concerned that with Purvis on the mix that minutes will be too scarce? Are kids in general concerned about playing in the AAC? Are KO and staff inept at sealing the deal? I'm Also tired of the default reaction to say we didn't want a kid that badly or to say " next" We are the flipping three time champion University of Connecticut, not some middle of the road program that resorts to excuses over losing middle of the pack recruits. And let's keep in perspective that if not for family allegiance, Purvis was ready to come here two years ago. I think when things didn't work out at NCSU, he had only one school in mind. So to keep saying we've landed two 5 star kids is a bit naive, I give the current staff credit for one.We may get some great news soon so let's wait it out but if we strike out here I think we have to wonder what in the Wide Wide World of Sports is going on around here?
