Celtics laud 'genius' Stevens for late-game calls

"Stevens twice called mid-possession timeouts in order to draw up sets when his team looked disheveled. The first resulted in a Jaylen Brown layup to tie the game with 24 seconds to play in regulation; the second put Horford in position to muscle home a winning layup with 5.5 seconds remaining in overtime..."

When was the last time we did something like this coming out of a timeout? Looking forward to a return to in-game coaching again!

Excellent timeouts these were and good plays planned that worked. It was impressive. Stevens is very composed and basketball smart in the huddle. His players listen.

Would be great to see Hurley have this sort of respect and confidence from his players.

Our play calling lately has been terrible. Other teams cut, screen, move, etc. We would dribble way too much.

You need to separate scoring on the inbound play vice scoring on possession of the inbound play.

UConn has been poor scoring off play from inbound. And also bad at defending it.
