USC is one of the top jobs in college sports, but Haden has really underwhelmed with both hires he has made. Sarkisian's best season is this year's 8-4. Enfield was a ridiculous hire. Enfield had at least 1 more jump he should have had to make before being a candidate for a major program.

I don't blame Orgeron. It would be one thing if Haden brought in Chris Peterson or some other rock star candidate, but Sarkisian? Is there any other Top 20 program that would have made Sarkisian the Head Coach? No chance.

Orgeron was never ever getting that job despite the terrific job he did. Once he lost to UCLA his fate was sealed for sure. But I don't think he was ever seriously in the mix. USC was never giving that job to a guy who had his background and his record as a head coach.

You can bet that WM has pinpointed 5-7 coaches and has interviewed several of them already He 's probably down to 3 and is working on financials etc. This won't take long after Saturday.
It may be a name not yet mentioned but like Pat Haden said it will "feel right" to him.
