Coaching "carousel of progress" continued

I give him props for staying at Cincinnati. It's not the worst place to be and Cincinatti has a history of great coaches including Dantonio

What Dantonio did at Michigan St. is remarkable. How do you compete in the LT with Ohio St., Michigan, and Penn St.? Unfortunately, the expectations at MSU are too high and the next coach will suffer the consequences.

Fickell has a good situation at Cincinnati and he can afford to wait for a better job than MSU.

The city of Cincinnati has a lot going for themselves at the moment. Besides the Reds.

MSU is a lot like the other MSU job taken by Joe Morehead. A paycheck and validation as a major P5 fb coach but doomed to fail becuase of the bigger programs in your division.

Fickell didn't need the validation, so staying was the right move.

.-.
Posting here just because this is the active coaching discussion thread. No # posted on the comp amount in this story for a new 5 year extension. One more 8+ win season ought to put Leopold on the radar of some higher profile schools.
