I didn't read the article, but this group needs some elite coaches. The 2017/2018 groups have failed to bring a Gold medal in the 2015-16 U16 & U17 tournaments. They need to back on track with the 2018 (and older 2019s) because these players will be the leaders to next year's U19 tournament.

I thought that traditionally, USA Basketball went with HS coaches for U16, U17 and U18 and then the College Coaches took over so this may be a departure from the past to instill better coaching on this group.

Nonsense. Walz started recruiting these girls when they put on their first Oshkosh's.
