Humble and hungry, Erica Wheeler becomes Fever standout after circuitous road to WNBA

The Indiana Fever faced Wheeler's teams four times that season, and then-Fever coach Stephanie White was impressed, not just with her play making, but with her demeanor. "Regardless of whether she played a lot or didn't," White says, "her body language didn't change."

Rutgers fans are very pleased with Wheeler's success.

No one ever said she didn't play hard - some of her teammates during her time at RU, meh. I wish her teams could have had even more success.

A player does not always have control of their talent or physical abilities; but they always have control of how hard they play. Ru, if memory is accurate, usually, if not always , fielded Hard playing kids. I don't remember them ever taking a play off--against Uconn. Unlike some others I liked the Brown facility--
