Coach Wendy Davis (UConn 1988-92) earns 300th win

At UConn, Wendy scored 1,552 points, 279 threes (6th most all time), 43.9% three point average (3rd high), and 81.1% FT percentage (10th high). She was also scoring leader for the 1991-92 season at 15.3 points per game. Stats are per the media guide. Wendy was on the first UConn team to get to the Final Four

Great information. I wasn't that familiar with Wendy and didn't realize she coached at my Bantam alma mater for 11 years. Shame on me.

Not a great story about Coach. When my daughter was still playing, her teammate scored her 1000th point. They tried to get the ball for her, but the Coach wouldn't give it to them unless they had a ball in exchange. My daughter's coach had no problem with giving them a ball in exchange. The issue?? Coach wanted the replacement ball before handing over the 1000th point ball. My daughter delivered the new ball to get the 1000th point ball. Who knows if they received the actual 1000th ball.

It is D3 NCAA athletics, they are just mentionned by alumnae and those who keep an eye on the coacing tree

But remember that Carla Berube got "recognicience" for the job she made at Tufts, and since have beenn one of the best if not the best in Ivy League
