Sean Spencer - Defensive Line Coach - Penn State University. The "D" front 4 of PSU dominated Ohio State's "O" line. See interview with Urban Meyer. Sean was nominated for Defensive Line Coach of the week. He has been called one of the best recruiters in the Land! Time to bring this Bulkeley graduate home! How about Defensive coordinator at UConn!?!

"The Nittany Lions clinched the win over Ohio State with a 4th down sack, capping a performance with 5 sacks in the second half and six for the game. Five of those sacks came on 3rd or 4th down. Outside of Curtis Samuel’s 74-yard run, the Buckeyes averaged 2.4 yards per rush otherwise."

Penn State defensive line coach Sean Spencer drawing notice as top recruiter
The latest "get" is Maryland four-star defensive tack Adam McLean and ESPN recruiting writer Jeremy Crabtree is lauding PSU defensive line coach Sean Spencer for his work in securing McLean's commitment.
In an ESPN Insider (pay) post, Crabtree lists Spencer as the No. 5 recruiter nationally among assistant coaches.

Some members of the coaching staff will undoubtedly be packing their bags, just won't be BD

That's right. He makes enough money that he can afford to pay somebody to do it for him.

If I was him I would rather stay at Penn State and wait for a better opportunity than UCONN, someone is bound to pay mr more

Nice thought but hiring him would kinda step on Diaco's toes, who was a DC himself..
Diaco's system is and will always of the be bend but don't break variety... As far as thinking of his recruiting prowess... kinda helps that he works at Penn State... We need to get our stuff together on offense a little more right now though

Spencer was also a great recruiter at Bowling Green & Vanderbilt! HE"S THE RECRUITER not the institution!

Any HFC worth his salt wants (assistant) coaches who have the guts & acumen to "step on (their) toes." I don't see a love match with Saban & Kiffin!

Thank you Mama Spencer - we get it... Coach Spencer can send his cover letter and resume to AD Dave Benedict for consideration when there is an opening.

Will he bring Joe Moorhead with him?

First Moorhead now Spencer? You all need to focus your search for coaches further west. I hear Columbus, OH and Ann Arbor Michigan have football teams. ;)

Please stop right now. A DEFENSIVE LINE COACH?!?! UConn needs a head coach who "lives" for when his team takes possession of the ball. A coach who is angry if his team doesn't score at least 30 points a game and, is somewhat frustrated when they don't put up 40 or more. UConn needs a head coach who values offense so much that he believes the only function of a defense is to make one more stop than the opposition so he can win in a shoot out. UConn needs to get away from the defense first approach it's not working.

Guess u were NOT watching Saturday night!?!

Stop!

We are not getting a top talent assistant P-5 coach to come to a G-5 school ranked in the last 10% of FBS schools. If you're any good, why go to a G-5 school? Look what we have now.

uh even though we suck we do pay good money. Look at the best FCS coaches/coordinators (Moorhead clones ugh). They'll come here for cheaper than whatever we're paying Verducci
