I talked in an earlier post about being salty about Durrell Robinison's departure and thus wanting to treat him very coldly rather than as a true student athlete worthy of the "husky forever" farewell.

But if this is the attitude that JM is choosing to adopt, whether only publicly or in actuality in his heart too, then I guess I'll have to fall in line and say all portaling players are huskiesforever...........................................?

Players who finish the season — with or without a prior portal announcement — are fulfilling their obligations and deserve respect. Robinson took visits. Prep for the Bowl Game starts this week. I’ll wait and see if he shows up ready to practice and then play before bad mouthing him for wanting to go to the SEC. And, even if he doesn’t show up for practice, the kids didn’t make the rules that the portal opens before bowl games are played.

"Wasabi" is an honorific in Japanese that means "Head American Football Coach," akin to "Sensei" meaning "teacher." I looked it up.

Sounds like he's basically checked out completely going into a huge game for us. I draw a line between players who play and those who check out unless they are immediate draft prospects. If you see yourself as a mercenary then people are going to treat you as one. I'll stop there before preaching about what you want to teach your kids on the weekend of Army-Navy.
