Coach Hurley only needs 166 wins to move into 2nd place. He's more than half way there so I'm figuring what, 6 more years. Then he'll be about 46% of the way to catching the GOAT. Who knows if DH will be around for a total of 26 years. Calhoun retired at 70. That would put Hurley at around 70-71. "It's doable."

I'm sure Dan certainly wants to focus on those Big East Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championship numbers, as long as we're here (CREG and CTRN)

We all know they happened, can't erase our memories of them happening. Hurley will surpass Ollie in less than a month.
Sure, but in terms of official records, they don't count.

There’s no way he coaches that long. He’s always said he’ll coach for about 20 years (got first college job in 2010). That’s obviously not written in stone, but I don't see any way he’s a lifer.

Around 30 of KOs wins were vacated.
Seriously who cares vacated wins are all politics. Otherwise, roy williams, coach k and bill self etc would have hundreds vacated. Real sports fans know the truth. Boeheim got screwed as did Calhoun with apr Stop. Meanwhile North Carolina athletes had no show classes for decades. Gt vacated acc football championship over a 150 pair of pants but fat zion’s family gets a house and 100k spending money. Ncaa is the most corrupt organization on planet.

C'mon man, what's more fun than reminding the squid he didn't really get UMass to a FF?

Definition of Blue Blood. Look at that legacy. Calhoun, Hurley, and Ollie.
Ollie did more damage to the program than good. He bled green as in getting paid for pining through his divorce on the bench and having top recruits dropping off like flies. He won a NC with Jim's players and went on to drop the ball.
I do give him credit for having a good law team, they won costing the school millions that he did not deserve.
A fan of Ollie as a player and glad he came here over Travis Best, but so very disappointed in how he let the team / school down.

No blue blood in my book, he could have maned up and taken a year or even six months off to get through his personal problems.
Instead he nearly destroyed the program.
It took five years to get back what Ollie pizzed down the drain. This thanks to Hurley....

So basically Hurley’s current contract is his final contract? Because I think it ends in 2030. It would really blow to only have him around for another 6 years.

Ollie’s coaching job in the ncaa tournament was one of the best coaching “hot streaks” in history. He pulled all the right strings at the right times. To say he did “more damage to the program than good” is silly, any program would gladly take a natty, even if they had to trade a few down years thereafter for it.

Especially if they knew another one was coming 9 years later. I think most programs would sign up for our peaks and valleys knowing the outcome.

My goodness. You’d think the anti-Ollie crowd would’ve grown up by now but nope, they get all tingly when they can dump on him. Pathetic. Move on
