One interesting recurring theme in her remarks was the notion of "competing within the lines." This phrase seemed to carry a lot of meaning for her. It's not just about being tough face-to-face, or making hots, or boxing out, but also about several dimensions some of which are more mental than physical, like knowing the scout, or the sets, how hard to box out, or when to switch, etc.
Her freshman are still learning to "compete within the lines." It's not just that they're not polished enough, or that their shot isn't smooth enough. It's also about knowing how hard to push, when to bump a cutter, when to release a screen, how far out you can press on a high hedge, that sort of thing.
Last season, KK Ash Ice and Q were still learning that sort of competitiveness. I suspect they're a little ahead of the curve than most of the UNC players. I also suspect Sarah is, too.
