I see five players on the recruiting site: Boley, Cox, Dangerfield, Jekot ands McCoy.
How would you rate them specifically for UCONN's needs. Not necessary the best player, but the best fit for us?
For starters I'll say I'd like us to get either Cox or McCoy. Next after that, I'll leave it up to you experts.

Tie for #5 - Boley, Dangerfield, Jekot and Cox

Seriously, all joking aside, love that we landed Butler, but McCoy is the only "must get" of the class. If not her, another 6'3"+ center type of player will be essential. If we land Durr, her and Nurse as the starting guards would negate the need for Dangerfield, no matter how "Jefferson'ish" she is.

I think landing the big 3 sort of negates the need for Boley. She's a tweener in that she has the size for the 4, but likes to play the 3. Reminds me a lot of Hammond. But frankly I prefer our 3 over her and she may realize there's too much talent one year ahead of her.

I think Ionescu is an interesting prospect - a LOT of kids from CA in the past few years. And don't sleep on Holmes or Brown. Not sure if Holmes decides to leave Texas, but those are both top 10 kids I'd not be surprised to see UCONN mentioned with in the future.

Not sure if Cox leaves Texas. Jekot? interesting prospect, but if we have Durr, and then our quartet of guards 2 years ahead of her, I'm not sure she is interested. Who knows tho? All just speculation...

Totally agree. It's McCoy by a wide margin based on both need and ability. McCoy plays with an energy that few bigs do. She would be perfect for UConn.

Ionescu, J Brown, and Chou are all reported targets as well.

McCoy and Cox both have a chance to be pretty special. McCoy might look better now but I'm not so sure about three years from now. I'd be thrilled with either one and one of Ionescu/Dangerfield. Don't think they'll need a third but Jekot and Chou are both interesting. Jekot's a long, Faris type player while Chou can shoot and is dangerous off the dribble. Erin Boley can score but I found her game to be pretty one-dimensional when watching her. Course, things can change.

So we now have a list of 8 or more:

Cox
McCoy
Dangerfield
Boley
Jekot
Ionescu
Chou
Brown

Add Elmore to the list.

I'd love 1 guard, 1 big, and 1 wing.

Some folks say Cox and Chou might not leave Texas. How about McCoy, Dangerfield or Ionescu, and Boley or Brown?

Erin Boley has reportedly picked up an offer from Notre Dame. She had expressed hope that ND would offer her in a previous interview.

Ugh! I'd like to see her in Storrs. Louisville would be my 2nd choice.

There's a long way to go and recruiting is a fickle pursuit. You're talking about 15-16-year-old girls making life altering decisions. Give them and their parents and families some time and space. Geno and his staff know who they want and how to go about getting them.
