Why is Cincy the home team if they are playing at RFK?

I wonder if they let the Ohio high school coaches association or whatever influence their decision like we let our high school coaches do with our choice. Where are all the CT High School coaches. They still happy with P?

Helluva spot right before the VT TD pass. Wow that was a changer. One more shot for Cincy w/no TO's.

Great game. I would give my left nut to be able witness a live offense. I was beyond out of the game today. Good for Cincy.

Huge win for Cincy and the Big East. If USF beats FSU, Aresco needs to hold a national press conference and yell "ACC is part of a power five my motherfugging ass", and argue about how you cannot include the ACC and exclude the Big East from any goshdarn structure period.

I am very pleased to see the respect our fan base is giving Cincy but I am curious as to why nobody is blasting them for playing a home game much closer to VT's campus (andnd even closer to their fan base) than it is to UC's campus? Isn't this something that a BCS program should view as beneath them?

Why did Cincy move the game to DC? Easy decision. The redskins gave Cincy 3.5M for moving their home game to DC. It was a no brainer for their AD.

Couldn't happen at a better time for us. Plus RU over Arkansas at Arkansas. It should quiet some mouths at ESPN at least.

How would our fan base react if we did something similar?

Our fan base wouldn't like it. However the AD has a responsibility to look at the big picture and how this revenue will help the entire athletic dept.

$3.5 to move a game against a big name BCS opponent, plus we'd get all the ticket revenue(??). that's not the worst deal in the world.

If the Redskins (who own the stadium) didn't get to keep the ticket revenue, what incentive would they have to pay $3.5mm to Cincinnati to host the game?

The cost of travel, lost revenue (from a lost true home game) and negative goodwill (of depriving local fans who cannot afford to travel the opportunity to see a big name opponent at home) need to be part of the equation. I don't see it as a bad thing but somehow, if we were offered this deal to move a home game against say Michigan or Tennessee, this board would go ballistic.

if theres no ticket revenue, then its not a great proposition. i believe UC had this game at home vs VT for a previous year but moved it forward to free up for another game and that might have been a factor in making the move to DC. Who knows.
