I absolutely love this place. Watching a movie on the "Big Screen" in a Barcalounger, with a good cocktail and good food. The Warden and I saw F1 there last night and it was a great night out. Food is a little pricey but more than decent and they have a full bar with a half dozen beers on tap.

One really cool thing is that they play older movies on Wednesdays for $5. I've seen The Godfather, The Big Lebowski and Inglourius Basterds there, all movies I had never seen on the big screen. I just found out that on Tuesdays all movies are $7. I am definitely hitting up Do The Right Thing next week.

This one is in Blue Back square, but it's a chain so there may be one near you out of towners too. Check it out!

Anyone else remember Poor Richards in East Hartford? It got a mention is Time Magazine.
That's cool.

“A young couple can go out, see a movie, have a pitcher of beer, a couple of sandwiches and a box of popcorn for under $10. There aren’t many places left like that.”

I remember seeing their showtimes listed in the Courant. The Gilson in Winsted has a dinner theater as well. Going on 35 years.
